The hotel's location is unbeatable, with it being right in the heart of town and within walking distance to all the attractions. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, always going above and beyond to assist guests. The rooms are well-kept and comfortable, with modern amenities such as a walk-in shower and comfortable beds. the continental breakfast offers a good variety of options to start the day right.
The overall cleanliness of the rooms could be improved.

The Halcyon Bath is a hidden gem in a lively area, right in the heart of the city centre. The attention to detail is impressive, from the sumptuous soft furnishings in the rooms to the superior finishes throughout the hotel. Despite the rooms having limited space for personal belongings, the basic amenities provided are more than sufficient. The value for money is excellent, with breakfast included in the rate and the option to enjoy drinks or food at the onsite Porter restaurant.
The only minor drawback was the absence of an elevator, which may pose some inconvenience for guests with heavy luggage.

The location and staff were excellent. The hotel is very close to the train station and city center. The staff were enthusiastic, cheerful and always ready to help. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was just okay, nothing special. Our room was quiet and we really appreciated the large fan in the room. Prices are high in Bath, the hotel was fairly dear. But the location and the room were very nice.

Great central location, within easy walking distance to everything. Spacious and modern rooms with comfortable beds and good quality linens. The included breakfast was plentiful and tasty, served in a pleasant environment.
Some rooms are small and don't offer a pleasant view. Noise from nearby parties or events can be disruptive, especially at night.

fabulous location! you can almost see the hotel as soon as you step outside of the rail station. very friendly hotel staff. our rooms were on the 3rd flooor, stairs don't bother us, we had plenty of room, and was very quiet at night (we stayed on a monday). comfortable bedding with adorable heat pads.
carpet was a bit worn out / some stains and it got a little warm at night. the fan was too loud for me to use. was a bit grossed out to find smelly urine in our toilet when we arrived...was our bathroom really cleaned???

The position of the hotel. Near the railway station without being able to hear the trains. Near the city centre enabling us to walk to all the sights we wanted to see. Staff were very, very helpful. The bar was lovely and cosy in the evening and the breakfast was lovely.
Our room was too warm. Unfortunately the sash window only opened a little way and we faced another building so through draughts didn't happen!

Great location close to main attractions and restaurants. Rooms are stylish, clean, and comfortable. Continental breakfast is enjoyable and plentiful.
Some rooms can be cramped and noisy, especially if located in the front. Limited options for room selection, and some amenities such as A/C are missing.

Its in a great location just a few minutes walk to the Abbey and the centre of the town .The staff where amazing, very helpful, friendly charming and knowledgeable. The room was clean and tidy and we will go back and stay there again.
It was a little hot in the room as there is no A/C but just a fan. The TV was on the side wall next to the bed so not that easy viewing if you are sitting in bed. A little tip put a cushion at the back of the TV to angle it towards the bed and you get a much better view.

Clean, bed and breakfast type hotel, with younger feel to establishment. Comfy beds with rain shower. The food at the breakfast was a good value for the money, quiet area at night with a quick walk to the Bath Spa train station.

The hotel was very centrally situated and easy to get to from the station. the staff were amazingly helpful and freindly, they recommended a brilliant French restaurant called Beaujolais. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar was nice and it was good to be able to eat breakfast outside.
I felt the value for money was not great, the room was quite small, had a poor view. It cost £270 for two nights.

The hotel was modern, well decorated and clean. Staff were very polite and helpful. The location was brilliant for a casual stroll into the city centre and provided a great base to visit all attractions and places of interest.
Elements of the continental breakfast appeared to run out and were not replaced if we arrived at later times.

This hotel couldn't be more convenient for public transport being a short walk in front of the station exit. It is also right next to the abbey where the buses leave for local attractions. Our room was very clean - housekeeping each day was excellent. Staff were very helpful and responsive. Also, nice cafe-type seating area in front of hotel.
We had a room on about the fifth floor (5/6 flights of stairs). It had a 3--room number so it at first sight appeared to be on the third floor! (Older guests be advised). Unfortunately the temperature in Bath during our stay was unusually high (low thirties) and rooms under the roof of these old buildings get really hot and airless at night. We reported this to the hotel who immediately provided us with a pedestal type fan that made a huge difference although a large fan in a small space then becomes quite noisy. Definitely a case for A/C!
