Very helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Great Bar and space to sit outside.
Rooms get very hot - especially on the third floor. No Air-con.
The location was excellent it was a very short walk from the train station and also close to the major attractions. The staff were very helpful and friendly and there was free internet.
The room was very small. We selected a superior room which we thought would give us more space. There was no room for our suitcases and very little room to move around. Also there was no ac and we hit a hot spell in the uk during our visit. They did supply a fan which did help.
The location near the centre of town, the shower and the very comforatble bed.
Room very small. In fact the hotel overall was quite pokey. Very expensive for what it is. At £155 per night I would have at least expected breakfast to be included. No wi-fi in the room (as it was on 2nd floor). Tv was mounted on side wall so difficult to watch in bed - poor angle. Ironing board but no iron. It was requested but never arrived.
Helpful, friendly staff
The room was very small and proximity to reception and front door resulted in it being a bit noisy.
Reception staff were helpful and friendly. We got a free breakfast voucher from Trip Adviser which saved us £13.
Room 2.5 was tiny and felt very cramped and not what I expected for £125 a night. No view, no space to store baggage and would not have wanted to stay in there for anymore than the 1 night we had booked as a result. Would not recommend staying in this room but I dont want to right this place off as we may have just had one of their worse rooms, the staff and location were very good as was cleanliness and a good comfy bed.
Great location, only a short walk from the railway station. We had a room at the front of the hotel, with a pleasant view of part of the city, with hills beyond. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, both on arrival on 14th June 2011 and on our departure on 15th June 2011.
The service at breakfast was poor. The member of staff on duty did not go out of his way to welcome us or go through the standard procedure of offering us tea or coffee. We had to go to him to request this, as did a couple of other guests. The d.i.y toast- making and egg-boiling systems were not very efficient, and the whole breakfast experience seemed like hard work. The choice was also a bit limited.
My partner and I had a wonderful time exploring the historic town of Bath and enjoying the delights it had to offer. The hotel is situated in the most ideal place, close to the railway station (just 5mins walk) with most of the attractions right on your doorstep. We can see why it must be very popular with visitors all year round. Furthermore the warm welcome and friendly smiles the team gave us was just perfect and made our weekend break more relaxed and really very enjoyable. We were well looked after (despite the minor delay in towel delivery) but it really did not matter because it was the hosting and service which was important and that was to our complete satisfaction!
The only minor points to make would be the walk-in shower (we had a deluxe double room); too much water pressure and the water overflowed onto the bathroom floor. The water took time to drain out. Also the wash basin was small which made it slightly inconvenient. No elevators/lifts as far we could tell so those with heavy luggage will need to be prepared to carry their suitcases/bags up flights of stairs.
Very helpful staff, comfortable and stylish hotel, great location in bath. Would be very happy to stay there again..
Comfortable and well equipped bedroom although on the samll side. Very helpful reception staff
Breakfast very average
Location. 2 minutes from the roman baths, city centre etc and perfect location for shopping.
Our room was slightly too hot due to the warm weather. The room did have a fan but due to the power of the fan we couldn't keep it on as it was too noisey.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming
The noise level was far too high from the street, the nightclub next door and people coming in and out of the front door.
Very pleasant hotel, located right up the road from Bath Spa train station. The staff were friendly, the room was cozy, very highly recommended all around.
The staff were all very helpful and made some fantastic recommendations that helped make our stay in Bath extra special. The hotel itself could use a bit of work but with its location its good value for money.
Very comfortable bed, excellent shower, compact room but well appointed. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful
The room was a double though I was on my own - it would have been a bit small for a couple
classy hotel which had worked well around the constraints of the old building. the bar downstairs had an excellent vibe
